Worked with a team of women from diverse leadership backgrounds to support the local non-profit Women’s Bean Project. Proposed innovative ideas to engage the business community in hiring women ready for a fresh start in their lives and careers.

This experience was unique not only because of the quality of the programming and leadership coaching, but also because my cohort happened to coincide with the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Learning to lead and adjust in a time of crisis was an experience that informs my work daily.
Governor’s Appointee
Governor’s Council for Active and Healthy Lifestyles
State-level appointment to support physically active lifestyles throughout Colorado. Appointed by Governor John Hickenlooper. Navigated variety of governing structures and stakeholder needs. Secured additional funding for program from Governor Polis’ administration.
- Gained a statewide perspective on leadership, stakeholder engagement, and legislative processes.
- Advocated for an important cause by encouraging employers to take wellness steps within their organizations.
- Collaborated with experts in fitness, wellness, health, and government to promote healthy living for adults and kids.
- Contributed to statewide awards for wellness in workplaces and schools, including making recommendations for a visual communications plan.
